Funeral services for Douglas Randall Slusher will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Phil Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the funeral home. Masks will be required and Covid-19 protocols should be followed.
Douglas died on Monday, March 15, 2021 at his residence. He was born on July 29, 1958 in Kenton to the late James and Rosetta (Garvey) Slusher. On June 6, 1978 he married Donna Titus and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are a daughter; Danelle Smock of Mt. Victory, a son; Douglas Daniel (Megan) Slusher of Kenton, 2 sisters; Patricia (David) Ward of Mt. Victory, Rose Annette Barnes of Lima, 5 grandchildren; Dylan Rigsby, Dorien Slusher, Gauge Smock, Xavier Slusher, Leandra Slusher and several nieces and nephews.
Doug is a U.S. Army Veteran.
He worked for International Paper in Kenton for over 25 years and was a member of Only Believe Ministries in Kenton.
Doug enjoyed being outside, gardening, and feeding the squirrels and birds around the house.
Memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice.
