Dori Spencer, 66, of Dunkirk, passed away unexpectedly following an automobile accident on Monday, March 2, 2026.
She was born on May 21, 1959, in Delaware, Ohio, to the late Esther (Bushee) Skeens. On November 2, 2007, she married Tony Spencer, who survives in Dunkirk.
Also surviving are two daughters, Karson (Ryan Phillips) Evans of Upper Sandusky and Jennifer Evans of Ada; two step-sons, Chad (Jennifer) Spencer and Derek (Shasta) Spencer, both of Kenton; two sisters, Lesa (Wade) Melton and Carmen Skeens; two brothers, Rick (Joanie) Kiess and Jimmy (Sabrina) Murfield Skeens; a step-brother, Joshua Alan Haudenschield; her step-mother, Martha "Marty" Skeens; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Evans, and her stepfather, Edward Skeens.
Dori worked for PPI for the last 13 years. She dedicated most of her life to raising her children and grandchildren; her family was what was most important to her and brought her the most joy. Dori was also a talented cook and an avid collector of buttons.
Per Dori's wishes, she will be cremated. A celebration of life may be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial donations in Dori's honor may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
