Funeral services for Donald LeRoy Claphan will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home.

Donald passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Kenton Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born on June 18, 1950, in Kenton to the late Brenna (Pockett) and Roy Claphan Sr. He married Debra Claphan and she preceded him in death. 

Surviving are a sister, Brenda (Donald) Camp of Stryker, 2 brothers, Byron Albert Claphan of North Carolina, Roy Claphan of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 sister-in-laws, Patty and Ester Claphan.

Donald worked several jobs throughout his life. In his free time, Donald enjoyed playing Bingo, he would even occasionally travel to Upper Sanducky to play.
