Funeral services for Don W. Doll will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Vincent Pontius and Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will be held at Dunkirk Cemetery at a later date. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services and the funeral home.

Don passed away on Monday, October 07, 2024, at the Blanchard Place in Kenton. He was born on December 10, 1939, in Kenton to the late Donald K. and Marguerite (Curtis) Doll. He married Kay Fewell on June 04,1961, and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving is daughter; Darlene (Stan Holden) Rose of Oklahoma, 2 sons; Denny (Sheri) Doll of Kenton, Doug (Belinda) Doll of Michigan, brother; Kenneth (Deb) Doll of Kenton, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren with one on the way and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mark Rose and siblings; Gloria Doll-Castle and David Doll.

Don graduated from Hardin Northern High School in 1957. He was a hardworking and savvy businessman. He is the former owner of Southside Six in Dunkirk, he farmed and also worked 27 years at Golden Giant in Kenton before retiring. 

Don was extremely active in Hardin County and the State of Ohio. He was a Hardin County Commissioner from 1982-1991 and sat on Kenton City Council for 3 years along with several other local boards and committees. He was a member of the Masons for over 30 years and part of the Hardin County Shriners, a 4-H advisor and several other local service organizations, which he loved dearly. He was also a life member of the Walnut Grove Methodist Church. Don truly loved his community and was always proud to give back. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Don's honor may be made to the Shrine Hospital in care of the Hardin County Shrine or the family also requested to please remember our fellow friends in the flooded and devastated areas from Hurricane Helene. Those donations can be made to the Samaritan Purse. May God Bless them all.
