Funeral services for Dean McCullough will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory with Pastor Debra Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery in Kenton. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the funeral home.

Dean passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Avita Ontario Hospital in Ontario, Ohio. He was born on July 19, 1948, in Kenton to the late Clair and Frances (Kelsey) McCullough. On July 28, 1984, he married Andrea Morehart, and she survives in Mt. Victory.

Also surviving are his sons; Charlie (Samantha) McCullough of Mt. Victory, Michael McCullough of Mt. Victory, a brother, Bruce (Mary Alice) McCullough of Florida, a sister-in-law, Betty McCullough of Mt. Victory, 4 grandchildren; Claire, Brooklyn, Addie, Graham, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah McCullough, 2 brothers: Carl McCullough, Ken McCullough, an infant brother, Charles McCullough, and a nephew, Kerry McCullough.

Dean graduated from Kenton High School in 1966. He went on to get his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University.

He worked several jobs throughout his life including being an industrial arts teacher, a lender for AgCredit, and a property appraiser. His true passion was farming and which he did his entire life. He also raised show pigs for a few years. He loved to farm with his sons and teach them whatever he could.

Dean also had a passion for working in his community. He served on various boards and community organizations such as the Hardin County Board of DD, the Ridgemont School Board and was on the Hardin County Housing Board. He was a member of the Rhinehart United Methodist Church and was a 60-year member of the Painter Creek Grange. 

In his free time, Dean enjoyed watching westerns, working on things around the house and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. 

Memorial donations in Dean's honor may be made to the Hardin County Fair Foundation or the Hardin County Board of D.D.
