A graveside service for Connie Penwell will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Grove Cemetery Committal Building with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
Connie passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. She was born on May 19, 1948 in Kenton to the late Ray R. and Betty (LaWarre) Montgomery. On May 9, 1966 she married James Penwell Sr and he preceded her in death on September 26, 2007.
Surviving are 2 sons; James (Charlotte) Penwell Jr of Richfield, NC, Ricky (Lori Bostater) Penwell of Findlay, a step-son; Donnie Penwell of San Antonio, TX, a brother; Tom Montgomery of Dunkirk, 9 grandchildren; Jennifer (David) Yoder, Tennessee (Jerry) Ruth, Stephanie (Jason) Minor, Loretta (Blake) Bryant, Jamie Penwell, Cory Penwell, Frederick Bowman, Anthony Bowman, Denise Bowman, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Marie Snider, Donna Craig, Randie Wren, 2 infant brothers; Ray Jr Montgomery and Don R. Montgomery, a great-grandson;Travis Hoel, and  2 step-sons; Harold and Jeff Penwell.
Connie was a member of the Amvets Post 1994 and had attended the New Hope Church in Kenton.
She enjoyed traveling, fishing and collecting anything that had a cow on it. Most of all she just enjoyed sitting on her porch relaxing in the sunshine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Connie's honor may be made to Not By Choice.
