Services for Clarence "Junior" McKee will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
He died on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at The Marion General Hospital. He was born on September 5, 1941 in Hardin County to the late Clarence James and Beulah Louise (Green) McKee. He married his wife of 58 years, Janet Holmes and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are a daughter; Cindy (Greg) McKenna of Kenton, 3 sons; Greg (Paula) McKee of Bellefontaine, Jody McKee of Kenton, Jimmy McKee of Kenton, 4 sisters; Carol Ann Conover of Forest, Patty McKee of Forest, Nancy (Chuck) Syrus of Patterson, Laura (Bob) Wilkerson of Forest, 3 brothers; Gary (Carol) McKee of Greenville, Keith McKee of Forest, Brian McKee of Forest, Grandchildren; Jennifer (Aaron) Penix of Belle Center, Austin McKenna of Kenton, Rachael McKenna of Kenton, Bridgid McKee of Cincinnati, step-grandchild; Aaron (Anna) Daniels of Worthington, Great-Grandchildren; Hayleigh and Dalton Penix, Step Great-Grandchildren; Liam and Mila Daniels and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister; Bonnie Jean McKee, an infant brother; Skippy McKee and 3 brothers; Max, Steve and Dick McKee.
Junior was an active member of the Kenton community. He was a Blue Mason for the Kenton Masonic Lodge, a former member of the Kenton Elks, he coached little league baseball for several years and was the president for the Kenton Athletic Boosters for 4 years.
He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed taking family trips to Canada to go fishing and collected various types of fishing tackle.He also enjoyed hunting, trapping and collecting other various antiques. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association or The Kenton Masonic Lodge.
