Carroll Richard “Dick” Wagner

September 28, 1940 – October 13, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dick, who departed from this world peacefully on October 13, 2024, at the age of 84.

Dick was born on September 28, 1940, to the late Dorothy and Richard Wagner. 

After graduating from Ridgeway High School in 1958, he enlisted in the Navy and went on a trip around the world. He worked at Rockwell International for 35 years.

Dick married Joyce Jones in 1963, they raised two children Chris and Tori, and they have been married for 61 years.  He is survived by his wife, Joyce and daughter, Tori (Jon) Smith; daughter in law, Melissa Harvey; grandchildren:  Sklyer Millhouse, Taylor Harvey, Grace (Leo) Wells, Madelyn Smith, Nicholas Smith and first great grandchild, Tucker Wesley Wells.

He was a member of the Elks, Moose, Mason and Shriners.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Dick’s life will be held on Friday, April 11th, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Grove Cemetery Committal Building in Kenton, Ohio. The family invites all who knew Dick to join them in honoring his memory. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shrine Hospital in care of Hardin County Shrine on Dick’s behalf.
