Carolyn passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on November 25, 1952, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Richard and Phyllis (Austin) Groff.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Veronica Dailey of Largo, Florida; her significant other of 26 years, Jim Britton of Richwood; step-daughter, Deb (Tony) Pyers of Richwood; step-son, Jeff (Stacey) Britton of Richwood; and sister, Gina (Gary) Shelton of Florida, a niece, and 2 nephews. She is also survived by her grandson, Devin (Sarah) Cook; four step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild (with another expected soon); eight step-great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Sadie. She was preceded in death by her infant son, David Dailey.
Carol worked as a warranty clerk for Frigidaire and as a cashier for Walmart in Marysville for several years. She was also a member of the Eagles Lodge 3506 in Marysville. In her free time, Carol enjoyed playing bingo, shopping online, and cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes with a cold Coca-Cola. Most of all, she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
