Funeral services for Carol "Teddy" Ann Cummins will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Rev. Jonathan Hanover officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview McDonald Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.

Teddy passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. Teddy was born in Kenton on September 23, 1935, to the late Raymond and Clara Belle (Vermillion) Gardner. On September 21, 1962, she married Lavern Russell Cummins, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2007.

Teddy is survived by a son, Russell (Sherry) Cummins, daughter, Lori Cummings, 5 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, several cousins, nieces and nephews and sister, Shirley Preston.

She was preceded in death by 5 brothers; Walter, Harold, Leonard, Millard and Richard, and 3 sisters; Catherine, Jane and Wilma, nephew, Rance J. Harp who she loved like a son.

Teddy was a graduate of Kenton High School.

She was a homemaker who always had fresh coffee and a plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies when anyone came to visit. She enjoyed playing 500 card Rummy and Euchre. Teddy loved all animals especially her chickens and made sure the birds, stray cats and an occasional opossum never went hungry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Teddy's honor may be made to the Wyandot County Humane Society or the Rascal Unit Mobile Veterinary.
