Funeral services for Carol J. Yantis will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 10:30 A.M. to the start of the services.
Carol passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the St. Rita's Hospital in Lima. She was born on June 03, 1952 in Kenton to the late Ernest and Wanda (Long) Sutermeister. She married Rex Yantis in 2019 and he survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are 2 sisters; Nancy (Bill) Brown of Lexington, South Carolina, Tina (Mike Medors) Sutermeister of Pataskala, Ohio, niece and nephew; Sara Shockney, Nick Brown and great nieces and great nephews; Emily, Isaac, and Abigail.
Carol was a graduate of Kenton High School. Later in life she dedicated 24 years to working at Pizza Hut.
She loved country music, especially Elvis Presley. Carol enjoyed watching Ohio State, working in her flower garden, crocheting and needle work. But most of all she loved spending time with her loving husband. Carol also had a special relationship with her nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Carol's honor may be made to St. Rita's Hospice Care.
