Bret A. Rager 66
of Kenton
Bret A. Rager passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his residence in Kenton. He was born on November 6, 1959, in Kenton to the late Donald Rager and Shirley (Rush) Rager, who survives in Forest.
He is also survived by his daughter, Christine (Daniel Powers) Rager of Lewis Center; two brothers, Todd Rager of Forest and Kent (Jennifer Vansky) Rager of Kenton; three grandchildren, Chance Powers, Zane Powers, and Elizabeth Powers; two nieces, Brooke Vansky and Mackenzie (Gunner) Dillon; and a nephew, Clay Rager. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Rager, and his brother, Joel Rager.
A 1978 graduate of Hardin Northern High School, Bret worked on the family dairy farm. He was a former member of the Kenton Moose, where he was involved with the ritual team. Bret was an avid Star Wars fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, and writing poetry.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bret’s honor may be made to the Salvation Army Men's Adult Rehabilitation Center, 1675 S. High St., Columbus, OH 43207.
