Brenda (Shelton) Fleming, age 74 passed away on Sunday July 20, 2025. She was born March 22, 1951, in Kenton, Ohio to the late Eva (Wyman) Shelton and Thomas Shelton.
Brenda is survived by two daughters, Serena (Richard) Baum of Kenton and Shelly (Jamie Matthews) Fleming of Alberta, Canada and four grandchildren, Johnathon (Payton) Harp, Mariah Tillman, Jay “Ace” Baum, & Grady Baum. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shona Lightner and her brothers, Thomas Shelton Jr. and Anthony Baum.
She was a 1969 graduate of Kenton High School and a graduate of Marion Technical College with a degree in Data Processing. Brenda retired from Honda of America.
Brenda enjoyed many outdoor activities including recreational boating (in her younger years), fishing, camping, and cookouts with her family. Brenda was always one for a good laugh, music, and dancing. She was a former member of the Eagles where she could spend an evening enjoying a good band and a cold drink.
Brenda was a proud grandparent and will be fondly remembered for the many “everyday” fun activities she spent with her grandchildren. Whether it was a day trip to go fishing, gearing up for a sleepover, a shoulder to lean on, or hosting a watch party for the once in a lifetime total solar eclipse.
Memorial donations in Brenda's honor may be made to the Critters Crusaders or the Hardin County Humane Society.
