Services for Betty M. Simpson will be private. Burial will take place at Fairview McDonald Cemetery. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
She died on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Kenton Nursing and Rehab. She was born on February 17, 1924 in Lima to the late Walter and Rosie (Billings) Sevitz. On November 13, 1945 she married Clifton Simpson Jr. and he preceded her in death on April 19, 1985.
Surviving are 3 daughters; Carolyn (Chuck) Kilcrease of LaGrange, GA, Vikkie (George) Searson of LaGrange, KY, Kathy Keen of Kenton, a son; Dale A. (Lois) Simpson of Union, OH, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 4 sisters; Edna Thompson, Gertrude Truesdale, Reva Myers, Jane Coon, 3 brothers; Michael Sevitz, Harry Sevitz, Robert Sevitz, and a great-great grandson; Matty Cox.
Betty was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenton, and was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
She was a homemaker whom enjoyed sewing and baking. She always had cookies or brownies made for her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and loved to spend time with.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
