Barbara Ann (Sellin) Long age 89, of Kenton, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Manor of Greendale in Findlay. She was born on November 20, 1936, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to the late Harry and Luella (Buss) Sellin. On November 27, 1954, she married James Ardelle Long, who preceded her in death on May 29, 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" (Bill) Keller; her son, Chris (Shonda) Long; her son-in-law, Ron Risch, eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Risch, her sister, Patricia Oglesbee and brother-in-law, Wayne Tuck Oglesbee.
Barbara was a dedicated member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenton and the Red Hat Society. An avid reader, she and her sister, Pat, co-founded and operated Books N Things Book Store in Kenton. She was also a member of the Mary Lou Johnson Library Book Club. Barbara was a talented crafter who enjoyed pottery, knitting, and assisting her husband with furniture restoration and woodworking. She also loved traveling and went on many cruises and trips with her husband and sister.
Memorial service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenton with Pastor Ken Engdahl officiating. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Barbara's honor to the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenton or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
