Funeral services for Barbara A. Gault will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Rev. Jonathan Hanover officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Kenton. Friends and family may visit 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home. 

Barbara passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 21, 1934, in Ridgeway, OH, to the late Byron and Doris (Grabel) Cottrell. On July 5, 1951, she married Glen Gault Jr and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2016. 

Surviving are a son, Larry (Joann) Gault of Forest, a daughter, Becky (John) Mentzer of Kenton, 4 grandchildren, Kelly (Shane) McCloud of Forest, Kylie (Scott) Cummings of Lima, Kip (David Glaubke) Mentzer of Wisconsin, Kera (Brad) Blue of Kenton, 10 great-grandchildren; Carson, Connor and Katelyn McCloud, Makenna and Jace Cummings, Jackson, Leah, Avery, Olivia and Kendal Blue, sisters, Joann Erb, Ruth Frey, Linda Hill, Karen (Ken Stoffer) Hoffmeyer, brother, Edward (Jan) Cottrell and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Plott, brothers-in-law, Ed Plott, Dick Erb, John Frey, and Russ Hill. 

Barbara worked for Harford's IGA in Forest and retired from the Hardin County Courthouse. She also worked and attended the First Methodist Church of Kenton where she sang in the choir. 

She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with family and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Barbara's honor may be made to the First Methodist Church of Kenton.
