In lieu of a public memorial service, family and friends are encouraged to remember Marie in their own celebrations. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born on January 12, 1932 and died peacefully on June 1, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dean Maxwell, in 2010.  She was a homemaker, a volunteer in her children’s various activities, and worked beside her husband in a variety family-owned restaurants.  Marie was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Kenton.  She is survived by her four children: Debbie Gampp (Steve) of Littleton, Colorado, Cathy Taylor (Tom) of Kenton, Jody Benefiel (Mark) of Xenia, and Russ Maxwell (Patty) of Kenton.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 

The family requests that any donations made in her memory be sent to Not By Choice in Kenton.
