Funeral Services for William "Bill" L. Hampton will be private. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory is assisting the family with arrangements.
He died on April 10, 2019 at The Marion General Hospital. He was born on December 24, 1942 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late William and Rosemary (Fockler) Hampton. On December 15, 1981 he married Melody Boykin and she survives in Mt. Victory.
Also surviving are 2 sons; John (Melissa Fodrea) Hampton of Mt. Victory, Nathan Hampton of Mt. Victory, a grandson; Zane Hampton and a special caregiver; Tonya Van Buskirk.
Bill was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Kenton.
Bill was a workaholic, while still living in Michigan, Bill worked for Frank's Nursery and truly loved his job there. When he moved to Ohio, he started his career at Dana Corp., where he worked for over 40 years.
If Bill wasn't working he enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, and raising a vegetable garden and chickens. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandson.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.
