Funeral services for Thomas M. Kritlzer will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 2:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
He died at 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at The Green Hills Community in West Liberty. He was born September 28, 1939 in Kenton to the late Walter C. and Dorotha H. (Mathews) Kritzler. On February 11, 1962 he married Linda L. Madison and they later divorced, then on December 13, 1992 he married Janice Dirmeyer and they also later divorced.
Surviving are 3 daughters; Jennifer (Jack) Overholt of Urbana, Jill (Jim) Pucci of Galloway, Joenee (Brian) Purcell of Bellefontaine, a sister; Madelyn (Steve) Lowery of Kenton, 9 grandchildren; Ashley, Derrick, Katie Overholt, Reagan, Madison, Matt, Thomas Pucci, Griffin, Gannon Purcell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was retired from Rockwell, was a lifelong farmer, and a Cessna Township Trustee for many years.
He enjoyed the farming life and was very involved in many organizations in the agricultural community such as being a past 4H advisor for the Cessna Minuet Men. He was also on the Board of Directors for The Hardin County Fair for many years.
After farming, Tom's passion were pulling tractors. He traveled all over going to various tractor pulls. He was a member of the Hardin County Tractor Pullers Association, and the Northwest Ohio Tractor Pullers Association, which he joined in 1983. After Tom joined the Association he became heavy involved as a board member holding several positions including President from 1989-1992 and Vice President from 1993 to 1996. He also catered events fro the American Tractor Pullers Association.
When Tom wasn't at tractor pulls he liked going to casinos or going to the Ada VFW, where he was a social member. He had a great sense of humor and was always playing pranks or joking with someone.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Hardin County Fair Board, or the Hardin County Tractor Pullers Association.
