Services for Robert Charles Steiner will be held at 11:00am Saturday August 25, 2018 at the Price - McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Rev. Doug Flinn officiating. Friends may call 4:00pm to 8:00pm Friday August 24, 2018. Burial will be in Dunkirk Cemetery at a later date. 
He died Friday August 17, 2018 at Bridge Findlay Hospice Care Center. He was born on March 22, 1929 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Harry M. and Ruth M. (Guider) Steiner. On September 13, 1953 he married Jean Hollingsworth and she preceded him in death on March 4, 2010.
Surviving are a son Craig (Julie) Steiner of Kenton and a sister Mildred Wilson of Kenton. Grandchildren Brianne (Aaron) Fritz of Powell, Kristie (Alex Winklejohn) of Ada and Bobby Steiner of Columbus. Numerous nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by 2 sons Denis W. Steiner and William "Billy" Steiner. 2 sisters Martha Casper and Wilma Hanson. 
Robert was a veteran of the US Navy, serving from 1950 to 1954. He was a 4-H advisor for 30 years, a member of the Hardin Co. Genealogy Society, the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church where he was a church trustee and a member of  the Hardin County YMCA. He directed choir for 15 yrs, coached little league baseball and had his private pilot license. 
He enjoyed wood working.
