Funeral services for Richard Arnett will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Kenneth VanHoose officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Preston Cemetery. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home. 
He died at 4:35 A.M on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1939 in Harrod, Ohio to the late Bob and Nellie (Risner) Arnett. On August 22, 1959 he married Julie Martin and she survives in Harrod.
Also surviving are 4 daughters; Robin (Randy) Cramer of Belle Center, Rhonda (David) Ingram of Howard, CO, Evonda (Allen) Shirk of Ada, Julie (Kenneth) VanHoose of Urbana, 2 brothers; Donald (Ethel) Arnett of Alger, Bob K. (Deanna) Arnett of Harrod, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister; Olladean Arnett and a brother; Elwood Arnett.
Richard was employed with Rockwell, and Randall Bearing in Lima, but retired from General Dynamics. After retiring he also helped his daughter at the Alger Freeze. When he wasn't working he enjoyed listening to bluegrass music.
Richard truly loved his family, and loved nothing better than to spoil his daughters and grandkids. He was deeply loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
