Visitation for Michael Wood will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 06, 2018 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton, with a Masonic Service of Remembrance at 7:00 P.M. A burial service with military honors conducted by Amvets Post 1994 will be held at 2:00 Monday, April 09, 2018 in the Committal building at Grove Cemetery.              He died at 10:57 A.M., April 03, 2018 at his residence. He was born March 21, 1948 in Kenton to the late Frederick A. and Juanita L. (Schindewolf) Wood. On January 18, 1974 he married Jene Ann Robinson and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving is his son, Frederick E. (Erick) Wood-Flores of Federal Way, WA; sister-in-law, Linda Robinson-Williams of Lafayette; brother-in-law, James Harvey of Kenton; and cousins, Rowland McElroy and Betty Jo McElheney of LaRue.
He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Sue Harvey of Kenton and several aunts and uncles.
He retired in 2005 from the United Association Local #776 Plumbers and Pipefitters of Lima, Ohio.
Mike was a veteran of the US Air Force serving 2 tours of duty during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge #378 in Forest, the Hardin County Shriners, the Aladdin Shrine Temple of Columbus, Kenton Elks Lodge #157, Kenton Eagles Lodge #2163, Amvets Post 1994, and a Board Member of the Memorial Park Golf Course.
Mike enjoyed golfing, shooting pool, gardening, and canning the vegetables he grew each year.   He was an ultra light plane enthusiast, a master welder, and was also Kenton’s Memorial Day Parade Marshall for more than 10 years.
