Marilyn was involved with Lambda League O.C.C.L, Homemakers Club and Hand of Faith Circle.

She attended Epworth United Methodist Church in Kenton.

Marilyn enjoyed socializing with her many friends in the groups she was involved in. She enjoyed taking trips. Her favorite was when she traveled to Boston. She loved eating out, especially to Red Lobster and Olive Garden and she couldn't pass a Tim Horton's without stopping for her favorite Iced Cappuccino.

She enjoyed making special handmade cards for everyone. Each card was on of a kind and she took great pride in making them. Writing poetry was another hobby she liked.

Gardening was another one of her favorite hobbies. She truly had a green thumb and she liked keeping her yard looking beautiful with an array of different flowers and plants. It seemed as if she could make almost any type of flowers of plants grow.

Her favorite color was purple and she loved her Siberian Husky, Layla very much.
