I am so sorry this is late in coming. I was out of the country when Elaine passed away and didn't learn about her passing until a family member told me on Thanksgiving Day. The last time I saw Elaine was at the beauty parlor uptown one day many months ago. I had no idea she'd been ill.
Elaine and I shared an apartment for a few months after I graduated from high school and I always admired her wonderful sense of humor and her ability to talk to anybody about anything. She was a good lady. Please accept my condolences.

When my lovely aunt passed away, my mother Arnita was struggling too with memory issues from another stroke. Arnita was confused and agitated and nothing seemed to help. I asked her if she remembered Elaine and she said she is her sister. I then told her how she got suddenly sick and she was no longer with us. She stopped for awhile, then began to talk about her childhood and her brothers and sisters. She became more calm and was able to return home. My mother was able to remember her and even with the sadness of her passing she was able to find comfort in her memories of my beloved Aunt Elaine. I hope your family can find comfort too knowing she meant so much to so many.

So sad to hear of Elaine's passing. I only saw her a few times since she left Vermont but I always think of her as" the beautiful little blonde child " when you lived in Moretown. I wish I lived closer so that I could attend the funeral but I guess that isn't possible. I will be thinking of you and will be there in spirit. Please take care. Love you, Roger and Judy
