Funeral Services for Henry "Hank" Bailey will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 26, 2019 at The Price - McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow in Dunkirk Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the funeral home. Mason Lodge service will be held at 8:00 PM Thursday following visitation. 

He died on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Kenton Nursing and Rehab. He was born on June 23, 1936 in Marseilles, OH to the late Jarvie and Hazel (Clark) Bailey. On January 18, 1959 he married Karla Oglesbee and she preceded him in death on April 15, 2018. 

Surviving are 1 daughter; Leslie (John) Mattox of Kenton, 1 son; Dwight Oglesbee of Dayton, 4 sisters; Janice Rausch of Forest, Alice Hothem of Ada, Rose Fredrick of Forest and Sue (Gary) Hemerly of Forest. 2 brothers; Raymond "Shorty" (Dortha) Bailey of Kamiah, Idaho and Ruben "Butch" (Connie) Bailey of Findlay. 2 brother-in-laws; Paul Jenkins of LaCanto, FL and John Shupe of Lakeland, FL. Grandchildren; Nicole Oglesbee of Dayton, Jenelle (Jeremy) Mayo of Kenton, Ryan Craig of Kenton and Joseph Craig of Dola. 4 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great - Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by 1 son; Douglas Bailey, 4 sisters; Jane Sloan, Jean Ann Nichols, Diana Williams and Rita Littler. 1 brother; George Bailey.

Hank retired from The Village of Dunkirk as the Village Superintendent after 21 years. He also owned and operated the gas station in Dunkirk for several years.

He was a member of the Dunkirk Mason Lodge # 549 for 30.8 years, where he held every possible position in Lodge, lastly being the current secretary. 

Hank helped with the Doug Bailey Memorial Cruise-In in memory of his late son. He enjoyed picking berries, especially Raspberry's and hunting mushrooms. Hank also enjoyed spending time with his dog Boots and sitting on his front porch visiting with friends and family.
