Services for Ellen M. Newland will be held at 1:00 Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
She died at 6:30 pm on March 01, 2018 at Hardin Hills Health Center. She was born March 01, 1959 in Marion, Indiana to the late George E. and Elizabeth Rose (Chavis) DeWitt.
On December 13, 1994 she married Billy Newland and he survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are daughter, Shawn (Steven) Grindell of Dunkirk; 2 sons, Christopher Harp of MS and Jeremy (Shyann Capasso) Newland of Kenton; 7 grandchildren, Cole Snider, Trinity Amweg, Carson Grindell, Colten Smith, Jeremiah Newland, Airyanna Newland, and Adelina Breener; sister, Tammy (David) Casselman of SC; and 2 brothers, Randy (Cindy) DeWitt of IN and Carl (Kim) DeWitt of SC.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ernest and Ola Mae Lee.
Ellen had worked at Kroger and before that she was a nurse's aid .
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed listening to Elvis, and watching the Minnesota Vikings.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lima Umadaop in care of the funeral home.
