Graveside services for Charles W. Gerlach will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 7, 2018 at Grove Cemetery with Rev. Randall J. Forester officiating. Friends may call from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday September 6, 2018 at The Price - McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. 
He died 12:05pm Friday, August 31, 2018 at Vancrest of Ada. He was born August 23. 1932 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Herbert and Mabel (Wilhoit) Gerlach. On December 22, 1956 he married Alice Pauline "Polly" (Hart) Gerlach and she preceded him in death on July 16, 2018.
Surviving are his son Charles Lee Gerlach of Kenton, Joy (Mark) Van Horn of Kenton, Grandchildren; Alice V. Gerlach of Portland, Oregon, Amanda and Andrew Van Horn of Kenton and several nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by a sister Phyllis (Frances) Gibson and grandson William Van Horn. 
Charles spent his lifetime on the farm. He operated a registered Holstein dairy farm for over 50 years. He was a member of the Northern Ohio Breeders Association, Ohio Holstein Association, Dairy Farmers' of America and St.John's Evangelical Church.
