Funeral Services for Carolyn Jean (Fay) Haney will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 1, 2018 at Price - McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, September 30, 2018.

She died at 3:12 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at her daughters residence in Ada. She was born on July 3, 1953 in Kenton to the late Emerson Jr. and Carolyn Jean (Emberling) Fay. On December 8, 1978 she married Dennis Haney and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2001. 

Surviving are a daughter Tammie Jo (Glen) Whitten of Ada, Fiancé; Otis Stewart of Versailles, 3 sisters; Deb (Dan) Preston of Kenton, Cindy (Roger) McKinley of Kenton and Bonnie (Allen) Shirk of Kenton. 2 brothers; Joe (Mitzi) Fay of Columbus and Darrell (Sandy) Fay of Kentucky. 8 grandchildren; Taysia Brayshaw, Justin Brayshaw, Adeleine Whitten, Max Whitten, Lucy Whitten, Madelynn Stewart, Zander Kahler and Logan Stewart. 

She was preceded in death by her second mother; Donna Jean Lowery, sister; Marilyn Fay and 2 brothers; Ernie Fay and Mike Fay. 

She loved singing and playing guitar, good food, animals, riding on motorcycles and above all, her grandchildren. 

Carolyn fought breast cancer for 18 years, but it never broke her lovable spirit or belief in Jesus Christ. 

Memorials may be made to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice or to The  Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center.
