Graveside services for Betty J. Hastings will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Dunkirk Cemetery with Pastor Gregg King officiating. The Price - McElroy Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

She died on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Fox Run Manor in Findlay. She was born on March 20, 1925 in Hardin County to the late Joseph S. and Ruth (Underwood) McCann. On December 30, 1971 she married Richard Hasting and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1986. 

Surviving are 3 sons; Mike Appleton of Dunkirk, Kerry (Alicia) Appleton of Findlay and Larry Appleton of Arcadia. 7 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; James Lauren McCann, Glenn Dale McCann, Charles McCann and Victor Dennis McCann. 2 sisters; Dorothy Nickolosi and Kathleen Robinson and an infant sister; Janette Marie. 

Betty worked as a nurse for a few years but was mostly a homemaker who loved to take care of her family.

She was a member of the Community Bible Church.

Betty enjoyed gardening flowers, and was very musically talented. She could play the organ, piano and the guitar.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made The Community Bible Church.
