Funeral Services for Alan D. Kendrick will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 27, 2018 at St. Johns Evangelical Church in Kenton with Rev. Dr. Randall J. Forester officiating. Burial will follow in Otterbein Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Price - McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.
He died at 1:35 PM Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 16, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona, to C. Dale. (Lee) Kendrick who survives in Kenton and the late Wanda (Samons) Kendrick. On April 9, 1981 he married Judy (Long) Kendrick and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are her daughter; Kayla (Steven Jr.) Hawk of Kenton, 2 sisters; Debra (Kenneth) Karl of Kalida and Cyndi McElree of Kenton. 4 brothers; John (Melissa) Kendrick of Wauseon, Troy D. (Sarah) Kendrick of Zanesville, Scott (Shanna) McElree of Kenton and Steve (Tonya) McElree of LaRue. 1 grandson; Dylan Hawk and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son; Michael Kendrick and 2 sisters; Katherine Kendrick and Lola Kendrick.
Alan was a member of the Kenton Moose Lodge and the Kenton Eagles.
He loved music and played bass in many bands such as "Trickin' Sid", "Countrymen" and "Rimfire".
He was a talented artist who loved to draw and paint.
Alan enjoyed activities that involved working with his hands, including woodworking and remodeling houses.
Memorials may be made to St. Johns Evangelical Church.
