A private memorial service for Walter Emerson Elliott will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
He died Friday, February 2, 2018 in Prattsville, Alabama. He was born on December 8, 1940 in Mt. Victory, to the late Michael Allyn  and Wilma Jane (Roberts) Elliott. He moved from the Hardin County area in 1952 with his father and resided in Lubbock, Texas the majority of his life. He married Peggy Lang in 1961 and they later divorced, and in 1982 he married Kay Hart and she preceded him in death in 2004.
Surviving are his 5 children; Michael R. Elliott of Lubbock, Suzi Phelps of Lubbock, Janie (Danny) Jenkins of Pratsville, Ala, Kimberly (Eric) Neese of Montgomery, Ala, and LeAnn (Scott) Johnson of Washington, Pa, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and siblings; Janet Roby of Mt. Victory, David Roby of Mt. Victory, and Christine (Gary) Holycross of Ridgeway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-father; James Roby Sr. and a brother; James Roby Jr.
