Services for Theresa R. "Rosie" Sexton will be held at 10:00 Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Price McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at 11:30 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lima. Friends may call from 9:00 until time of services.
She died at 6:20 am Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Kenton Nursing & Rehab. She was born on February 1, 1930 in Lima to the late Michael and Agnes (Mihalfi) Kiss. She married  Ralph Maxwell Sexton and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are 5 daughters, Jennie (Greg) Pitz of Columbus; Marie (Doug) Lamb of Kenton; Linda (Mike) Kehres of Florida; Diana (Alan) Horner of North Baltimore; and Sandy (Stephanie) Sexton of Kenton; 2 sons, David (Tongplaew) Cain of Hawaii; and Richard (Cindy) Cain of Kenton. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren, Jeremey, Greg, and Laurie Pitz; Daniel and Dustin Sprague; Michael, Christopher, Theresa, and Joseph Hoffman; Marie and Jonathan Lamb; Michael, Randall, and Lisa Hattery; Maleeyah, and Jahlyon Green; Tracy, Jamie, Erin, Adam, Alysia, Zachary, Jerimiyah, and Jackson Horner; Benjamin Horner; Kyra Collins; Symone Sexton; Lacey Murphy; and Samantha Cain; 39 great grandchildren;  and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Hattery, a great granddaughter Lucy Thacker, 2 brothers Peter and Albert Weber, and a sister Agnes E. Gary.
Theresa was a nurse at Lima Memorial Hospital for over 50 years. She earned over 20 awards during her time there, which included a perfect attendance for over 20 years and the Prestigious Daisy award for extraordinary nursing.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, and crocheting.
Memorials may be made to any of the charities that were dear to her which include Wounded Warriors, The RAPP, or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
