Funeral services for Ruth Staadt will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor George Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Dorothy Ruth Staadt, age 92, of Dunkirk passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at her residence. She was born on December 29, 1925 in Findlay to the late Clarence and Eva (Wagner) Hinebaugh. On May 28, 1946 she married Delbert Staadt and he preceded her in death.
Ruth is survived by a granddaughter whom was her caretaker; Tabitha Youngs, a great-granddaughter; Ava Youngs at home, a daughter; Pat (Dan) Durkin of Marsielles, 4 grandchildren; Deanne (John) Thomas, Michael Durkin, Tammy (Kurt) Alspach, and Mindy Drake, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Staadt, a brother; Eugene Hinebaugh, and a sister, Eilieen (Charles) Green.
Ruth worked for RCA in Findlay from where she retired. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Dunkirk.
She was one who liked to stay busy. She enjoyed being outdoors and mowing her yard. She enjoyed the company of her dogs, Farley and Oxford.
Ruth will be deeply missed by the ones who knew her.
