A memorial service for Rowe Buroker will be held at 4:00 Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church with Pastor David Dooley officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 until time of services on Friday.
He died at 11:18 pm on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born on December 16, 1949 in Kenton to the late Erven and Francis (Dyer) Buroker. On February 22, 1970 he married Elane Cummings and she preceded him in death on March 28, 2015.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Rowena (Brian) Koby of Newark; and Rochelle Buroker of Lexington, OH; 2 sons, Rowe (Angela) Buroker of Lexington, OH; and Rowdy Eric (Ronna Shelton) Buroker of Kenton; 15 grandchildren, Brayden; Wild Wes; Keshia; Kylie; Austin; Emsley; Stormy; Caibrae; Zakari; Jarius; Sam; Arianna; Pooh; Owen; and Reonna; and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 5 brothers, Walt (Linda) Buroker of IN; Chuck (Elaine) Buroker of SC; Gary (Cathy) Buroker of FL; Wally (Dawn) Buroker of Oxford; and Darrell (Rhonda) Buroker of Bluffton; 2 sisters, Gale (Ron) Bolen of IL; and Maedene (Rick) Phouts of Akron; father and mother in law, Dick and Marleen Cummings of Mt. Victory; adopted son, Mark Harp; special friends, Kimberly Gandee and her children, Elijah and Ethan Gandee ; and Steve Moore.
He was preceded in death by an infant son Rowdy Paul Buroker and a granddaughter Olivia.
He was an Navy Veteran, a salesman and a truck driver.
Rowe loved watching his grandchildren play sports, enjoyed camping, walking, and running the sound system for several bands. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and his family request that family and friends wear their O.S.U. apparel.
