Services for Roger M. Rarey will be held at 10:00 Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Price McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 Friday, August 18, 2017.
He died at 7:50 am Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at The Isle at Kingwood in Kingwood, TX. He was born on April 07, 1931 in Kenton to the late Francis and Mabel (Wells) Rarey. On March 05, 1952 he married Norma Jones and she preceded him in death on October 03, 2009.
Surviving are a son, Kevin (Rose) Rarey of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren, Rachel and Megan Rarey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son Donavin Rarey; brother, Nicholas "Archie" Rarey; and sister, Iva Lou Anderson.
Roger was a computer programmer and an US Army Veteran.
He was a member of the Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge, Mason Lodge, and was a founder of the Mid-Ohio Vair Force, the Chevy Corvair car club.
He enjoyed spending time at the family farm.
