Services for Robert Norman Buyer will be held at 11:00am Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Price - McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Burial will follow in Otterbein Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, December 22, 2017. 
He died at 2:30am Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 13, 1937 to the late Arnold & Florence (Wigle) Buyer. He married Caroline (Jones) Buyer and she survives in Kenton. 
Also surviving are children Michelle (Brian Gillespie) Buyer of Powell Ohio and Sharelle Buyer of Gahanna Ohio. Siblings Paul Buyer of Bellefontaine, DeWayne (Jeannie James) Buyer of Marion and Jo Ann (Charles) Harper of Belle Center. 
He was preceded in death by a sister Eileen Rinehart. 
Robert was a Korean War Vet (Army) (Company C 40th Armor Div.), a member of the Moose Lodge and attended First Reformed Church. 
He graduated from LaRue High School. He retired from Rockwell and owned a barber shop in Mt.Victory from 1967-1974. He also worked part time at Ace Hardware in his retirement.
Robert enjoyed woodworking, DIY, he was an avid golfer, loved spending time with his wife and pets and loved all things OSU.
