Services for Ray Porter will be held at 11:00 Monday, November 23, 2015 at TLC Ministries in Kenton, with Pastor Tony Crowe officiating. Burial will follow at the Dunkirk Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 Sunday, November 22, 2015 at TLC Ministries..
He died at 12:33 pm Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. He was born on April 02, 1936 in Salyersville, KY to the late Hastin and Greedice (Williams) Porter. On June 28, 1975 he married Vickie Bowman and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are 4 daughters Vernona (Tim) Tackett of Salyersville, KY; Racine (Scott) Patrick of Oil Springs, KY; Glenda (Rick) Conley of Salyersville, KY; and Trina (Tony) Crowe of Dunkirk; 1 son Greg (Wanda) Porter of Salyersville, KY; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 5 sisters; 3 brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons Little Ray Porter and Tommy Porter, 1 daughter Amy Sue Porter, 1 sister and 1 brother.
He was a Chief Deputy Sheriff and a city Policeman in Salyersville, KY. 
Ray was very faithful to the Lord. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, raising chickens, coon and squirrel dogs, hunting, and being outdoors.
