Services for Maxine C. Bailey will be held at  12:00 Friday, July 01, 2016 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Sieg Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 until time of services on Friday.
She died at 5:10 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Kenton Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born on June 03, 1923 in Mahoning County to the late Walter J. and Ruth E. (Banning) Wolfe. At the age of 6 she was orphaned and raised by her grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Banning until her teen years. During her teen years she was raised by Amy and Robert Anderson in Sebring, Ohio. On December 11, 1943 she married William M. Millner and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1944. Then on November 15, 1947 she married Robert "Bob" A. Bailey. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2005.
Surviving are 2 sons, Brad (Ariane) Bailey of Kenton and Bart (Jolene) Bailey of Kenton; daughter in law, Cheryl Bailey of Wapakoneta; 7 grandchildren Christopher Bailey, Kevlin (Ethan) Swepston, Adrian Bailey, Jordan Bailey, Spence Bailey, Nathan (Terri) Bailey, and Sean Bailey; step granddaughter, Siobhonne Ward; 4 great  grandchildren, twins Makayla and Makenna, Payton, and Brandon Bailey.
She was preceded in death by 1 son Dr. Brent Bailey and a granddaughter Nicole Michele Bailey.
Maxine worked for the Department of Human Services before becoming the office manager at Kenton Transfer and then Maxine Express Inc.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Eastern Star,  Minerva Club, and was a poll worker for the Board of Elections. She also was one of the founders of the Hardin County Humane Society.
Maxine loved dogs especially her dachshund, Beau.
