Graveside services for Mary Jo Stewart will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 11, 2016 at Grove Cemetery in Kenton. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday May 10, 2016 at the Price McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.
She died at 4:30 P.M. Friday May 6, 2016 at The Pickaway Manor Nursing Home in Circleville. She was born May 17, 1931 in Kenton to the late Paul and Florence (Hersh) Daniels. On June 3, 1951 she married Richard Stewart and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2011.
Surviving are 1 daughter; Lu Anne (David) Kaufman of Circleville, 1 son; Paul (Sue) Stewart of Wharton, 3 sisters; Barbara (Marion) Houser of Kenton, Anne Lotz of Kenton, Dana Poland of Kenton, 1 grandson; Dustin (Danielle) Stewart of New Albany, 3 great-grandchildren; Aidan, Ryleigh, Hannah, several step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 brother-in-laws; Tim Poland, and Dale Lotz.
Mary Jo was a 1949 graduate of Kenton High School. She was excellent pianist, who often played for many of the local churches in Kenton. She loved being a homemaker and mother, because she got to take care of her family. May Jo enjoyed cooking, baking, and loved to plant flowers and garden.
