Private family services for Martha Jean Kahler will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton, with Kerwin Vermillon officiating. Burial will follow at Dola Cemetery.
She died at 8:45 am Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Blanchard Place. She was born on April 04, 1925 in Findlay to the late George and Huldah (Wilch) Adler.
On June 11, 1944 she married Robert L. Kahler and he preceded her in death on May 02, 1976.
Surviving are 1 daughter, Dianne Kahler of Kenton; 1 son, David (Linda) Kahler of Sunbury; 2 granddaughters, Michelle (Matt) McConnell of Marysville; and Melissa (Darren) McKenzie of Anthem AZ. Also surviving are 5 great grandchildren, Zack; Colby; and Hunter McConnell; Maria and Nick McKenzie; and several loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sister, Delilah Adler and her twin sister, Mary Willeke and brother, Dallas Alder.
Martha was a homemaker and a farmer's wife doing anything on the farm that needed to be done.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Dola and she volunteered at the Good Samaritan Society in Arlington for 2 decades.
She loved yard work, being outdoors, working on the farm, driving the farm equipment, and decorating for the holidays.
Memorials may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church in Dola.
