Funeral services for Marcia Retterer will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at The Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Kenton with Pastor James Goldsmith officiating. Burial in Rushlyvania Cemetery will be held at a later date. Friends may call Friday, May 12, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.
She died at 3:38 P.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at The OSU Medical Center in Columbus. She was born March 2, 1953 in Bellefontaine to the late James R. and Helen L. (Zachary) Price. On July 26, 1984 she married Ronald Retterer and he survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are 4 sons; Robert L. (Becky) Rowe of Ridgeway, James R. (Brandi) Rowe of Kenton, Pete (Susan) Retterer of Ridgeway, Roger Retterer of Cleveland, a daughter; Bethann (Ed) Gibson of Kenton, 3 sisters; Patti (Danny) Risner of Kenton, Linda (Allan) Austin of Rushlyvania, Debbie (Rusty) Ohler of Ridgeway, grandchildren; Derek, Miranda, Megan Brady, Cora Rowe, Brett (Tiffany) Retterer of Michigan, Scott (Jackie) Retterer of Wapak, Kim (Jeremiah) Bailey of Ridgeway, Katy (Ryan) Newland of Ridgeway, Tyler Gibson of Ada, Mary Retterer and Adam Retterer of Dublin, 13 great-grandchildren and her  dogs; Bella and Dinozzo.
Marcia was a 1971 Ridgemont High School graduate and was a deputy clerk for the Hardin County Clerk of Courts.
Marcia loved her community, loved people, and loved to give back. She owned Teddy Bears and More in Mt. Victory and was the CEO and founder of Not By Choice Outreach, which was a community cancer outreach organization that helped people fighting cancer.
She was involved in many community organization and boards which include; being a past Matron Harriett Chapter #252, West Mansfield Order of The Eastern Star, member of White Shrine Lima Chapter, Past Treasurer for the Village of Mt. Victory, Graduate of Hardin Leadership 2011, graduate of the Hardin County Sheriffs Academy, on the Hardin Leadership Steering Committee, member of the American Red Cross, a past senior regent for the Women of the Moose #863, a board member for the Hardin County Dog Shelter, and a board member of the Community Health Center.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Not By Choice Outreach, Abundant Life Assembly of God, or Pawsitive Pals of Hardin County.
