Funeral services for L. Elaine Stuckey will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor David Trusty officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
She died at 9:55 P.M. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a short battle with cancer. She was born November 22, 1953 in Barre, Vermont to the late Frelon and Louesa (Morgan) Gullett. On October 26, 1974 she married Daniel Stuckey and he survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are a daughter; Rachel (Michael Jones) Combs of Ada, 2 sons; David (Jennifer Matic) Stuckey of Kenton, Aaron (Tianna Prater) Stuckey of Dola, 4 sisters; Arnita Shepherd of Waco, TX, Cheryl Sammet of Upper Sandusky, Freda Scott of Columbus, Barbara (Kenneth) Manns of Kenton, a brother; Gayland (Barbara Hunt) Gullett of Lima, 9 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother; Larry Gullett, a sister; Naomi Gullett, and 2 brother-in-laws; Lowell Shepherd, and Dale Sammet.
Elaine was a 1971 graduate of USV High School, and a past board member of the Hardin Co. Humane Society and the Ladies Aux VFW Post.
She was proud of her Vermont heritage and always considered it her home. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting, playing cards and playing bingo.
Elaine loved her family, and her children and grandchildren brought her much joy.
Elaine was a woman of great faith and was very vocal about her love of Jesus.
