Kenneth Eugene Kahler, 88

Dola, Ohio

Services for Kenneth Eugene Kahler will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday February 10, 2016 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.  Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and  10:00 on Wednesday prior to the service.

He died at their farm home at 1:15 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016.

He was born November 13, 1927 in Dola, Ohio to the late Charles C. and Coroline (Highslip) Kahler.  He married Betty C. McCann, October 27, 1957 and she survives in Dola.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan L. (Miles) Armentrout, Springboro, Ohio and  Kathy J. (Greg) Lishawa of West End, NC.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Megan L. (Justin) Cooper, Cincinnati, Ohio, Brice Kahler Armentrout of Dola, Ohio and Abbey A. Armentrout of Springboro, Ohio.  He had one great-grandchild, Lindsey Marie Cooper.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and four brothers, Eldred, Charles Jr., Ernest and Donald and one sister, Dorothy Krause.

Kenneth graduated from Dola High School in 1946.   He was affiliated with the Primitive Baptist Church,   Latham Chapter 364 OES, Dunkirk Masonic Lodge549 and a Life Member of the National Rifle Association.

He had a great love for his family and loved the farm.   He was born and lived his entire life on the farm.  He married and moved 1/2 mile across the fields where he spent 58 years with his wife and family.  He enjoyed deer hunting in Blind River, Ontario, Canada, with friends and neighbors for over 40 years.  He also loved to roller skate and water ski

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
