Keegan passed away at 6:46 A.M. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Saint Rita's Medical Center in Lima. She was born July 8, 1999 in Kenton to Scott and Toni McKee and they survive in Ridgeway.
Also surviving are her paternal grandparents; Keith (Barbara) McKee of Forest, her maternal grandparents; Bonnie (Lonnie) Ward of Findlay, a brother; DaKota (Sara McFadden) McKee of Ridgeway, 4 aunts; Terrena (Rickie) Robson of Kenton, Sonya (Ken) Drumm of Forest, Susan (Scott Eiting) of Wharton, Stacy (Larry) Wickiser of Carey, 3 uncles; Todd (Debi) Ward of Findlay, Mike (Bethany) Ward of Findlay, Gregg (Jane) McKee of Mt. Blanchard, her cousins; Madison and Nevin Robson, Keith (Anna) Vogel, TJ Vogel, Lindsey and Griffin Cole, Lucas and Christy Wickiser, Kresana and Maycen Ward, Trent and Taylor Ward, Brad (Amy) McKee, Nathan (Kendra) McKee,  Evan McKee, Gavin, Sullivan and Ivan Vogel, and Silas Trejo-Vogel.
Keegan was a senior at Ridgemont High School where she participated in volleyball, softball and basketball.  She was also involved with FFA and with her brother Koty, they started a national program called Archery In The Schools, that brought the art of archery to students everywhere.
Hunting and archery were a passion for Keegan, often helping her brother in his archery shop in Ridgeway.
Keegan also had recently started working at Twirl Bridal Shop in Kenton, and would help her mother at the Fire Department.
She was a free spirit who never knew a stranger, especially to any of the children in the Ridgemont community. Children loved Keegan and flocked to her because of her loving and care free energy, that could be felt by everyone.
Keegan loved to spend time with her family and friends, whether it was taking pictures or dancing with her mom, she just wanted to be with people.
Keegan lived her life based off of her favorite quote; " The Strongest actions for a girl, is to love herself, be herself, and shine amongst those who never believed she could." and that's exactly what she did.
She was very loved and will be deeply missed.
The family has asked that everyone dress casual to the services because that's what Keegan would have wanted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Keegan McKee Memorial Fund in her honor.
