Services for Judith "Judy" Breidenbach will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Grant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
Judy died at 11:38 A.M. Wednesday February 3, 2016 at the family farm surrounded by her loving family after a hard fought struggle with lung and lymph node cancer, that started November 3, 2014. She was born on July 28, 1946 in Kenton to the late Lewis H. and Helen Jane (Fults) Breidenbach.
Surviving are a brother Lewis "Jr"  J. Breidenbach and a sister Debra K. Breidenbach both of Forest, as well as her constant companion/shelter dog Petey.
Judy graduated from Hardin Northern High School in 1964, she then attended Mansfield School of Nursing for a year until she found she couldn't handle the stress of being a nurse. Judy then worked for 5 years at the Kenton Telephone Office as an operator, then in March of 1971 she became an employee of the U.S. Postal Service, serving as Window Clerk until she retired on October 31, 2009. She then traveled with the senior citizens on several day trips and weeklong trips around the country.
Judy was a member of the Greenwood Grange and the Grant United Methodist Church, where she heldvarious positions such as Treasurer, Trustee. She also spear headed the fund raising for the bathroom, air conditioning, and roof funds.
Judy had a very positive faith. Never knowing a stranger, she was never afraid to ask "Do you know the Lord". Her favorite sayings were "One Day at a time.", and "God is in control, so enjoy the ride".
