Services for Iva L. Crowe will be held at 11:30 on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Price McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton, with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow at Dola Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:30 until time of services.
She died at 7:23 pm Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Willow Brook Christian Living in Columbus.  She was born on March 29, 1918 in Kenton to the late Ray F. and Zelda (Lee) Holmes. On November 20, 1937 in Dunkirk, she married Richard H. Crowe and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2011.
Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Fahey of Worthington; son, Thomas R. (Brenda) Crowe of Nevada; 5 grandsons, Terry (Anna) Jones of Bryan; Brad (Kim) Jones of Advance, NC; Jeff (Kim) Jones North Richland Hills, TX; Mark (Angie) Crowe of Dublin; Matt Crowe of Madison WI; and a granddaughter, Amy (Nick) Rogers of Dublin. Also surviving are 3 great grandsons, Jason Jones; James Jones; and Luke Crowe; 7 great granddaughters, Becky (Nate) Stahl; Jillian (Matt) Buchman; Sarah Jones; Emily Jones; Abby Crowe; Sophia Rogers; and Ava Rogers; 2 great great granddaughters, Kailey Buchman; and Madison Buchman; 3 great great grandsons, Caiden Buchman; Hezekiah Jones; and Andrew Stahl; and 1 sister Marilyn Stager of Dunkirk.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Robert Holmes Sr. and Harold "Pete" Holmes as well as 2 sisters Harriet Jolliff and Eleanor Pees and a son-in-law Jim Fahey.
Iva was a member of Walnut Grove Church and a 1934 graduate of Kenton High School where she played on the high school basketball team. She worked most of her life on the family farm and retired as a cook from the Hardin Northern School District. In her earlier years, she enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading, cooking, card playing, and watching her children's and grandchildren's athletic events and school activities. In recent years, she enjoyed following sporting events on television, and visiting with family and friends.
