Services for Francis Joseph "Joe" Fittro will be held at 1:00 Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Central Church of Christ 815 E. Columbus St. Kenton, Ohio, with Pastor Willis Moe officiating. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery in Mt. Victory. Friends may call from 11:00 until time of services on Saturday at the church.
He died at 8:15 pm on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Hardin memorial Hospital. He was born on August 15, 1935 in Mt. Victory to the late Thamer and Eva (Smith) Fittro.
On September 8, 1957 he married Rebecca M. Davis and she preceded him in death on January 8, 2010.
Surviving are 2 sons, Michael (Marsha) Fittro of North Lewisburg; and David (Teresa) Fittro of Birmingham, England; 3 grandchildren, Lindsay Fittro; Nathanael Fittro; and Rachael Fittro; 2 great grandchildren, Shelbie and Kaycie; and a brother in law Henry Williams of Mt. Victory.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Williams and Eunice Messenger.
He was a minister for 50 + years with the Churches of Christ in Ohio and Indiana. He last ministered at the Central Church of Christ in Kenton. He also had worked at Honda of America for 12 years.
Joe was a model train enthusiastic, loved covered bridges, was an avid harmonica player, and Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.
