Funeral services for Everett E. "Gene" Coulson will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial with military rites will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
He died at 9:55 A.M on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Kenton Nursing and Rehab. He was born May 12, 1933 in Marion to the late Ernest and Vivian (Anderson) Coulson.
Surviving are 2 sons; Mike E. Coulson of Kenton, Phillip D. Coulson of Ada, 2 sisters; Mary Smallwood of Lima, Joan Sielschott of Bluffton,6 grandchildren; Nick (Ricki) Coulson, Dee (Ryan) Courtney, Alysha Coulson, Tessa Coulson, Teara Coulson, Phillip Coulson Jr., 6 great-grandchildren; Brayden, Nolan, Eastyn, Londyn, M.J., Layelle, numerous nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by a sister; Ruth (Sam) Grabeman.
Gene was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He worked for Rockwell as a loading dock clerk for 40 years, until he retired.
Gene was a member of the Kenton Moose, Eagles, and the Amvets Post 1994.
He was a huge sports fan, constantly watching or listening to sports. His favorite teams were the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved baseball so much he coached little league for many years.
Gene also enjoyed playing golf, and going on Casino trips.
