Funeral services for Clifton Wallace "Wally" Ansley will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 15, 2017 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Willis Moe officiating. Burial with full military rites conducted by Amvets Post 1994 will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
He died at 10:20 P.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at The Hardin Hills Health Center in Kenton. He was born on November 15, 1930 in Ridgeway to the late Merrill and Lucille (Robinson) Ansley. On December 12, 1953 he married T. Jayne Eddy and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are 2 sons; Thomas C. (Sara) Ansley of Kenton, Clifton M. "Mike" Ansley of Richwood, a daughter; Tammy S. (Rod) Bryant of Kenton, 9 grandchildren; Becky (Evan) Graver, Kristi (Shawn) Campbell, Jonathan Ansley, Ruth (Jason) Gahler, Kara (Adam) White, Jessie (Marc) Schmelzer, A.J. Ansley, P.J. Ansley, Cruz Bryant, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a sister; Maxine Martincich of Clearwater, Florida.
He was preceded in death by a brother Gerald "Ferdie" (Joyce) Ansley, and a daughter-in-law; Deb Ansley.
Clifton was a U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran, having served during the Korean War and fought in the battle of the Chosen Reservoir. He received his diploma from Kenton Senior High School and attended ONU.
He retired from Durez in 1985 as a safety supervisor. He was a member of the Kenton Masonic Lodge, ELKS, VFW and First United Methodist Church in Kenton.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, Fox News, Outdoor Channels and his "McDonald's Gang". His smile and his story could light up a room.
Memorial donations may be made to the Central Church of Christ, American Diabetes Association, or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
