Funeral services for Charles Rostorfer will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Chaplin Pamela Lamb-Hart officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
He died at 9:32 A.M. Friday, January 6, 2017 at The Presidential Center in Marion. He was born December 15, 1938 in Kenton to the late Russell Rostorfer Sr. and the late Mary (Emmons) Rostorfer. On July 8, 1959 he married Linda Perkins and she survives in Marion.
Also surviving are a daughter; Vicki (Todd) Beck Wilmington, OH, a son; Kevin Rostorfer of Marion, a sister; Barbara Yoakum of Forest, a brother; John (Cathy) Rostorfer of Kenton 2 grandsons Kevin (Tiffany) Rostorfer of Marion, Colton Rostorfer of Marion, a great-grandson; Gavin Rostorfer and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister; Patty Hites and a brother; Russell Rostorfer Jr.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He loved to spend time with his family, especially when they were able to travel and go on vacations or when they were just hanging out watching his favorite football team, The OSU Buckeyes.
Charles was also an animal lover. He loved caring for his dogs and cats through the years.
